Unapologetic Projects, film fund

film fund + TV Development & Production

Unapologetic Projects works with underrepresented creators to tell authentic stories. On the film side, we are changing the traditional financing model by valuing diversity and cultural authenticity over star power and name recognition. Our TV development fund provides creatives with a new path to share their experiences on screen.

Chris Quintos Catthcart, Unapologetic Projects

Chris is an independent film financier who works to bring access to underrepresented filmmakers. Her career in finance grew out of a deep frustration with being a Filipinx actor who could never find interesting roles for her “type.” Her credits include Elegance Bratton’s THE INSPECTION and BITCH ASS by Bill Posley. She is immensely proud of her latest project, DIDI, written and directed by Sean Wang. Chris is hype to partner with the good folks at Antigravity Academy on their Screenwriters Camp for first-time filmmakers.
Tyler Boehm, Unapologetic Projects

As co-founder and co-CEO of Unapologetic Projects, Tyler works with underrepresented creators telling authentic stories in film and television. He is an Executive Producer on the Focus Features release DIDI, which won the 2024 Audience Award at Sundance, as well as filmmaker Yen Tan’s ALL THAT WE LOVE, starring Margaret Cho and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Prior to Unapologetic Projects, he served as vice president at Sobini Films, where he was in charge of development and film finance. His past film credits include YOU SING LOUD, I SING LOUDER starring Ewan McGregor, J.T. LEROY starring Kristen Stewart and Laura Dern, MARY SHELLEY starring Elle Fanning, MILES AHEAD starring Don Cheadle, GOOD KILL starring Ethan Hawke, and the British Independent Film Awards-winning FILTH starring James McAvoy.

Senior Vice President

Paige Hooper oversees television development and production. Prior to Unapologetic she was Vice President of TV at 21 Laps Entertainment, where she sold and developed several projects, including  “Yasuke,” with Omar Sy attached to star and Nina Yang Bongiovi and Forest Whitaker producing. Before 21 Laps, Hooper was the Head of Development for Rachel Brosnahan’s Scrap Paper Pictures, where she produced “Yearly Departed,” a comedy special highlighting women and women of color both in front of and behind the camera for Amazon Prime. Paige resides in LA with her husband and their dog, Nala. Paige previously worked at Will Packer Media and Showtime.
